One of the most important elements of getting in shape is cardio exercise. People have come up with all kinds of different ways of doing cardio. You might be wondering which one is best. The truth about cardio is that it's all the same. The whole point is to find an activity that makes your heart beat faster than it would normally. Cardio exercise is really just a fancy way to say "heart workout".

What is the best cardio exercise?

An important aspect of cardio training is how hard you push yourself. You can choose between an easy workout for an hour, moderate for 45 minutes, all out for 20 min, or somewhere in between. I highly recommend shorter, more strenuous cardio workouts. I tend to get very bored sitting on a stationary bike for an hour. Especially when I know that the only muscles engaged in bike riding are in my lower half.
